All strategic planning for legal advice, drafting of documents, opinions etc are provided through the platform Chamber Practice by their qualified team of advocates, solicitors, counsels, chartered accountants, management professionals or law firms.

Are the services provided by qualified Lawyers ?
Chamber Practice is a platform of Indian Law Firms and qualified Advocates, Solicitors, Counsels, who are affiliated with the bar for not less than five years and Chartered Accountants, Management professionals practising for not less than three years. All legal advice are provided by Chamber Practice through the platform comprising of their qualified team of advocates, solicitors, counsels, chartered accountants, management professionals and/or law firms.
 
What about Chamber Practice done by doctors and other Professionals ?
The website of Chamber Practice.com is restricted to provide legal service only.
Why should anyone approach through this platform of Chamber Practice and not a Law firm ?
Like law firms and consultants Chamber Practice also provides non-contentious legal service including arbitrations. The selection procedure for members/retainers of Chamber Practice is not easy task and appointment/selection takes place subject to certain pre-requisities/criteria like advocates should be affiliated with the bar for atleast five years or the chartered accountant or the management professionals should have atleast three years experience, have a good academic background, good work experience in the subject of his/her preference, strong understanding and/or a keen business sense, ability to give prompt service which is value for money and last but not the least should be young, energetic,hardworking and willing to work at international hours. The members/retainers have knowledge and work experience in varied subjects and most important is that Chamber Practice is a platform for professionals and unlike other law firms is not a family business/venture of clans . Hence Chamber Practice should be given a preference over law firms.
 
Does Chamber Practice provide legal services concerning Indian laws only ?
Presently, the platform Chamber Practice provides legal services concerning Indian laws only but Chamber Practice plans to diversify the website (chamberpractice.com) which can be shared with platform of lawyers of other countries on mutually acceptable terms and conditions. But each country will be co-ordinated by their respective co-ordinator (to be selected amongst themselves) who/which will be qualified lawyer / law firm only. The platform to be so formed in each country will be independent by itself.
 
Is the platform of Chamber Practice consisting of Indian Lawyers only ?
It consist of Indian advocates, solicitors, counsels, chartered accountants, management professionals and law firms only to provide legal service.
Is Chamber Practice limited to local clients in India or to cater the foreign clients ?
Chamber Practice caters to Indian as well as non-Indian clients.
 
Why do I need Chamber Practice ?
You will need Chamber Practice if you are looking for someone to provide legal service like advices, documentation, opinion, strategic planning, drafting of notices, replies, joint ventures, energy, mining, maritime, infrastructure, oil & gas; corporate & commercial; telecommunication; entertainment & media; maritime & shipping; banking & finance; capital markets; foreign investments; corporate finance; insurance; real estate & property; taxation and arbitration matters in respect to all areas etc. These legal service are provided vide this platform.
 
How do I appoint Chamber Practice and who will provide the service ?
Simply by sending an email of by fax giving details of the facts of the case / your query. You will receive a confirmation from Chamber Practice if your matter/case is accepted or not and all other information will also be provided to you such as mode of payment etc. All services will be provided through our platform consisting of qualified lawyers, chartered accountants, management professionals ably assisted by their supporting staff.
 
How long does it take for Chamber Practice to respond to my mail ?
Chamber Practice ensures that all initial (enquiry) mails are attended as soon as possible preferably within 30 hrs. If the initial mail is sent from a web based email it should contain the following details such as name of the sender, his/her address, telephone number, fax number, email id, website if any. If the mail does not contain the following information then Chamber Practice will not reply and the mail is quarantined temporarily until the requested information is forwarded. It is the policy of Chamber Practice to respond to mails and faxes of client as soon as possible.
 
What are the professional charges of Chamber Practice ?
All non-contentious matters for advises, drafting, negotiating et al are attended by us.
The Professional Charges are:
*US Dollar 35 -50 per hour + Disbursements on actual ( Litigation strategy planning, sending notices, replies, co-ordinating with advocates on record, monitoring the matter and reporting )
*US Dollar 40 - 100 per hour + Disbursements on actual ( Arbitration matters )
*US Dollar 40 - 150 per hour + Disbursements on actual ( for all other non-contentious matters such as drafting or vetting of documentations, strategy planning, opinions, advising, et al depending on the complexity of the matter )
*Certain matters are charged on lumpsum which depends on the complexity of the matter and should be discussed before assigning the work to Chamber Practice.
 
All works are commenced strictly on receiving advance payment as may be agreed upon.
 
The initial advice or work done for twenty minutes in the matter will not be charged and the same will be adjusted in the final timesheet and the Memo of Fees.
 
The mode of payments are to be made as instructed by Chamber Practice which will be either by irrevocable Telegraphic Transfer to Bank Account or by Bankers Cheque or as may be agreed upon.
 
Clients will be provided with an updated timesheet for the work done and time consumed for the given work. The timesheet will be provided from time to time either weekly, fortnightly, monthly, bimonthly, quaterly or annually depending on the client's wishes and the matter, until the work is concluded.
What do you mean by disbursements ?
Disbursements would mean all the expenses incurred or to be incurred such as telephone charges, fax charges, xeroxes, travelling if any, if counsels, chartered accountants, management professionals are involved then their fees and all other expenses that are incurred excluding the Professional Charges of Chamber Practice. Disbursements are computed on actuals.
 
Do you give discounts or free services ?
The only discount or free services provided by Chamber Practice is the initial professional advice or work done for fifteen minutes in the matter which is not charged and the same is adjusted in the final timesheet and the Memo of Fees. All works are commenced strictly on receiving advance payment as may be agreed upon.
How do I keep a track as to how much time is spent by Chamber Practice and how expenses are incurred ?
Clients are provided with an updated timesheet for the work done and time consumed for the given work. The timesheet will be provided from time to time either weekly, fortnightly, monthly, bimonthly, quaterly or annually depending on the client's wishes and the matter, until the work is concluded.
 
What is a time-sheet ?
Time-sheet is a chart giving details of the actual time spent for the work done to enable client to compute the Professional Charges payable thereby keeping the client updated with the matter and also enables Chamber Practice to prepare their Memo of Fees.
 
How do I make payment to Chamber Practice ?
Payments to Chamber Practice is made either by Bankers cheque or irrevocable Telegraphic Transfer to Bank account as instructed by Chamber Practice.
 
Can payments be made by credit cards ?
No as of date.We discourage client to make any payment through credit cards on internet for security purpose. Payments using credit card through internet is not full proof yet although several firewalls are provided. Hackers do find their way out.
 
How shall I get bill and invoice for my payment ?
All Bills and invoices for any payment made to Chamber Practice are forwarded by email and also by post.
 
Do you accept retainership ?
Chamber Practice accepts retainership on the terms that is mutally acceptable.
 
Will Chamber Practice maintain a separate bank account for me, if requested ?
Yes, a separate clients acount can be opened in clients name subject to advance payment made to Chamber Practice is not less than USD 3000
 
Will Chamber Practice file appearance ( vakalatnama ) in the court for litigation matters ?
Chamber Practice does not file vakalatnama in the court as it does not take up litigation matters but will recommend such matters to member/retainer law firms/lawyers at no cost.
 
Chamber Practice is a platform of reputed advocates, solicitors, counsels affiliated with the bar for not less than five years, chartered accountants, management professionals & law firms mainly attending to non-contentious matters. All contentious / litigation, including certain arbitration matters are recommended, assigned or transferred to the law firms or advocates/solicitors filing vakalatnama in the court and having experience and knowledge of the subject matter. The work is assigned either to the member law firm/ advocate or to non-member law firm depending on the experience and efficiency of the firm. This is to enable the attorney's to file their vakalatnama and to avoid conflict of interest.
 
No charges are levied by us for recommending, assigning / transferring the matter. The Professional Charges of such member advocates, solicitors, law firm depends on their policy, which varies from US Dollar 35 - 150 per hour + Disbursements on actual, while in some cases charges are on lumpsum depending on their policy.
 
Strategy Planning, Advising and drafting for litigation is also done by our panel of counsels, chartered accountants, management professionals, advocates, solicitors or law firms for US Dollar 35 - 50 per hour + Disbursements on actual.
 
If client desire that we initiate with strategy planning, sending notices, replies, co-ordinate with the law firm or the advocate on record for the litigation and monitor and report to clients the same is also undertaken at a reasonable fee of US Dollar 35 - 50 per hour + Disbursements on actual.
 
Will Chamber Practice send notices, replies or monitor litigation and advice ?
Strategy Planning, advising and drafting for litigation is also done by our panel of counsels, chartered accountants, management professionals, advocates, solicitors, law firms for US Dollar 35 - 50 per hour + Disbursements on actual. If client desire that we initiate with strategy planning, sending notices, replies, co-ordinate with the law firm or the advocate on record for the litigation and monitor and report to clients the same is undertaken at a reasonable fee of US Dollar 35 - 50 per hour + Disbursements on actual.
Will Chamber Practice recommend me to a law firm/advocate having knowledge of the pertinent subject for litigation matters?
All contentious / litigation, are recommended, assigned or transferred to the law firms or advocates/solicitors filing vakalatnama in the court and having experience and knowledge of the subject matter. The work is assigned either to the member law firm/ advocate or to non-member law firm depending on the expeience and efficiency of the firm. Litigation matters are recommended to advocate on record/ law firms filing vakalatnama in court and having knowledge and experience of the pertinent subject matter to our retainer-member but if none of them have the relevant experience then only the matter will be recommended to other non-member law firms having relevant experience in the subject matter. For such recommendation to law firm/ advocate on record for litigation matters Chamber Practice does not charge the client neither any referral charges are levied on the law firm/ advocate on record.
Can a law firm be a member ?
Yes, He/She (/partners of law firm)should be with excellent overall acadamic background and enrolled with the bar and practising for atleast five years as an advocate.( see above)
Will retainership tantamount to breach of professional ethics ?
All legal service are provided through the platform Chamber Practice by advocates, solicitors, counsels, chartered accountants, management professionals holding sanad provided by the Bar Council or COP by the Institute. and having an experience of at least of five years as advocate or 3 years as chartered accountant/management professionals. Since all assignment will be done by you as a retainer for Chamber Practice and retainer fees are paid ( on the basis of the fees received from client and the work involvement) there is no breach of professional ethics or breach of any law. By enrolling you are simplicitor a member/retainer of Chamber Practice and not an employee which assist us in selection to assign work depending on your specialisation and exposure.
